Day-by-day itinerary*:
December 26
Our unforgettable journey begins! We meet in Anchorage at 4:00 PM — and our journey begins! After getting to know the city, we'll skate on a frozen lake and head to Palmer, where we'll check into a cozy house that will become our comfortable base for the week. In the evening, we'll enjoy a festive dinner, followed by an exciting "hunt" for the Northern Lights. How? Over a glass of wine, in pleasant company, right from the terrace of our house. We'll also monitor other locations, and if the Lights are better visible elsewhere, we'll suggest you join us there!
December 27
Hike to the mountains to an abandoned gold mining village. Wearing snowshoes, we'll learn how to move through deep snow. We'll also try building a real snow cave and learn more about snow slope characteristics.
December 28
Snowmobile adventure. Depending on weather — we'll either head to the iceberg lake or go to a real snowmobile highway! A place known only to locals. Both options are unique and unforgettable. Only the weather will help us choose the most suitable of the two!
December 29
We head to the glacier, where a unique adventure awaits — a walk deep into the glacier! We'll see bizarre ice formations creating tunnels, caves, and ice walls. Only in winter can we look so deep into the glacier's depths! And only with our guide — can we go further into the glacier, and if weather permits — try ice climbing. In the evening, as always – we'll return to the warm house and a delicious dinner.
December 30
Alaska's premier ski resort. Great variety of slopes and short lift lines will appeal to experienced skiers and snowboarders. And for those who have never tried it — there's an opportunity to learn alpine skiing with our guide. Option for adults (18+): a day at a spa complex instead of alpine skiing, and a walk through a snowy forest. If desired — you can combine both options (ask us about this!)
December 31
Meeting legendary sled dogs and their experienced mushers! We'll learn everything about the famous Iditarod race and even ride these amazing participating dogs. Then we return home to rest, so we can welcome the New Year at our base with renewed energy in the evening! You'll enjoy a festive bonfire, fireworks, Alaskan treats, and lots of fun.
January 1
The New Year begins with a leisurely walk through the most beautiful valley and during the day — a real wood-fired sauna with brooms in authentic Alaskan style. And for those who book in advance — an additional opportunity — an unforgettable helicopter flight (ask us about this!).
January 2
Packing, cross-country skiing, and evening departure
Program starts on December 26 at 2 pm, ends on January 2 at 6 PM at Anchorage airport.
