Day-by-day itinerary*:
Day 1: Gold and Wildlife
Welcome! We meet participants between 10 and 11 AM and set off on an exciting journey along the route of Alaska's pioneers! Through the Rainforest — the northernmost in the world — we'll walk to waterfalls and learn the history of one of the fastest retreating glaciers in the area. At the wildlife rescue center, we'll meet musk oxen, bears, moose, and other representatives of Alaska's fauna. They were all rescued under different circumstances and now live in conditions as close as possible to their natural environment. Our road runs along a picturesque bay that regularly makes the lists of the most beautiful roads in the USA. If we're lucky, we might see beluga whales right from our minibus window! In the evening — a festive dinner in a comfortable chalet, with a view of the mountains, and if we're lucky — the Northern Lights!
Day 2: On ATV to Icebergs
We ride on ATVs through rivers and forest to the iceberg lake. The journey through the picturesque valley of the glacial river will take about 1.5 hours one way. You'll discover amazingly beautiful and little-explored places, still unknown to most tourists. Here we'll have a small picnic, and you can enjoy the atmosphere and nature, as well as approach the lake to touch or even catch a piece of ancient glacial ice. This will be an exciting adventure!
Day 3: Alaska's High Country
A walk in the highlands to an abandoned gold prospectors' town. Autumn colors here are especially bright! We'll walk to the lake and pick blueberries. If desired, this day can be supplemented with a flight on a small plane around Mount Denali (McKinley) — the highest mountain in North America***.
Day 4: Glacier and Ice Climbing
Want to know why ice in Alaska is blue and how old glaciers are? Our experienced guides will provide you with all necessary equipment for a glacier walk and answer all questions. Trying ice climbing is a unique experience that many come to us for! We're happy to include this in the tour so your acquaintance with Alaska becomes even more complete! In the evening you'll enjoy a sauna with birch branches and a beautiful view of the mountains — this will be a great reward for an active day.
Day 5: Canoe and Mushers
Rafting on canoes and kayaks on a calm river, archery. In the evening we'll meet mushers and their amazing sled dogs. These people and their dogs are true heroes of Alaska's vast spaces! Listening to exciting stories about multi-day expeditions, you'll learn about the famous Iditarod race, where dogs and their mushers overcome difficult conditions, demonstrating incredible courage and team spirit. This meeting will give you not only inspiration but also deep respect for Alaska's traditions.
Day 6: Fjords and Ocean
Prepare for an unforgettable sight: the winding shores of fjords and glaciers calving into the ocean will amaze you! Snow-white peaks and lush greenery create a stunning contrast, and sea otters, seals, and dolphins don't pay attention to us and allow us to observe them, sometimes even accompanying our ship. We'll drive through the longest tunnel in North America and see the one-house town.
Day 7: Hike
An easy hike to a waterfall, and departure.
Program starts at 10 AM, ends after 6 PM
